About + Contact

My name is Cecily,
It's lovely to meet you.

Let's take a little trip down memory lane and see how I got to where I am now.

1991

My story begins in little ole Kansas City, MO where I was born and raised. Already color matching from age 3 when all my underwear just had to color-coordinate with my clothing.

2005

Now we're getting serious - taking portfolio classes to develop my design eye and illustration skills.

2009

Started my Fashion Design degree at the Fashion Institute of Technology. Honing my design eye, and sewing skills - at the same time, boom!

2013

Walked at Graduation with my BFA in Fashion Design, oh and a couple minors in my other loves, Art History and Psychology.

2014

Paving my own way, I started a little passion project ... my blog - The Paper Curator where I share little artsy bits all about scrapbooking and other paper crafting goodness - check it out if you fancy.

2015

Hey, it just clicked ... I love graphic design, I can do graphic design, let's become a graphic designer! I pursued my dreams and graduated (December 18th)  from Shillington School with my new shiny, Graphic Design certification, ready and willing to work!

2016

Graduating was pretty rad but getting paid to do what you love is even more awesome so I jumped into the industry as quickly as I could and started freelancing. Lucky enough I ended up loving my role and went full time as a Graphic Designer at Lincoln Center later in the year.

2018

I became a Senior Designer at Lincoln Center, stepping up to the plate and taking the lead on developing and designing a wide range of campaigns and initiatives.

2019

I layered in wholesale distribution for my small business, The Paper Curator with the launch of my line at the National Stationery Show.

2020

I was named as one of Stationery Trend’s10 Designers to Watch in 2020. I also began licensing my artwork as The Paper Curator which has landed my designs in retailers all over the world including, Target, TJ Maxx, Home Goods, Dillard’s, and Staples.

Now

I continue to work as a Senior Designer at Lincoln Center steering the creative output for the institution, and running my small biz The Paper Curator on the side.

looking forward...

I'm always looking to broaden my horizons. Got an interesting idea or project? contact me if you'd like to work together, I'd love to hear from you.
